How long it takes to carve ?
A simple piece can be carved in as little as 2 hours up to 2 days for a complicated item, under the careful guidance of owner operator Brett Phillips.
What is the range of prices ?
Prices start at $30.00 for a simple design and up to $155.00 for a more detailed pendant.

Step 1 : Choose a template or design your own
Step 2 : Selecting the Jade
There are lots of different kinds of Jade. Names are mostly based on the color and river it has been recovered from.
Jade used in my workshop is local New Zealand West Coast Jade. You get the choice of Jade you like. |
Step 3 : Cutting & carving
Once you have your design drawn onto your slice of Jade it is time to trim off the excess and start you on your way shaping and carving your piece.
This is the most important and enjoyable stage. It is during the shaping and carving stage that you will get to see your design come to life in your hands. This is achieved through the use of different burrs and grinders. |
